PROJECT PRESENTATION
Dynamic 4D Belt Fit in Overweight Occupants:
A Pilot Demonstration
Project presented at Humanetics User Meeting and Workshop 2025, Shanghai
Dr. José Solaz, Head of Innovation at IBV, presented a pioneering demonstration on seatbelt positioning in occupants with different body compositions. Access the full presentation by filling the form.

Pilot objectives
- Capture dynamic belt body interaction in high BMI occupants using high
fidelity 4 D body tracking - Compare two subjects of similar height but different body composition in a
real vehicle seat mock up with CAD based belt positioning - Acquire homologous static and dynamic meshes anatomical markers
( sternum, acromion), belt tracking and pelvic position via pressure
mapping - Demonstrate how 4 D scanning might suppose a step beyond current state
of the art approaches in comfort, safety, and biomechanical assessment
Discover MOVE4D
- Understand how MOVE4D's high speed 4D scanning (178fps, 1mm precision) captures real human shape in motion and soft tissue deformation.
- Witness live scanning and get automatically a consistent sequence of 3D meshes, rigged and textured with sub-millimeter accuracy.
- Export it and use across all major softwares.
